Course Description:
The Introduction to Firearms for Youth course provides a safe, educational, and engaging introduction to firearms for young people. Designed for ages 12-17, this course focuses on fundamental firearm safety, basic handling skills, and responsible use, all while fostering a respectful and disciplined approach to shooting sports.
Course Objectives:
Foundations of Firearm Safety: Learn the essential rules of firearm safety, including handling, storage, and safe practices both on and off the range.
Firearm Basics: Explore the components and functions of different types of firearms, including rifles and pistols. Understand how to operate, load, and unload them safely.
Basic Shooting Skills: Develop fundamental shooting techniques, including proper stance, grip, sight alignment, and trigger control, with hands-on practice and guidance.
Ammunition Knowledge: Gain an understanding of different types of ammunition, their functions, and handling procedures.
Respect and Responsibility: Discuss the importance of ethical behavior, legal considerations, and personal responsibility related to firearm use.
Course Structure:
Safety Introduction: Begin with a comprehensive overview of firearm safety rules and their importance.
Firearm Familiarization: Hands-on exploration of various firearm types, focusing on their parts and safe operation.
Shooting Fundamentals: Learn and practice proper shooting techniques under close instructor supervision.

Prerequisites:
No prior experience with firearms is needed. This course is suitable for youth who are new to firearms and interested in learning the basics in a structured and safe environment.
