Course Description:
Build upon the foundational skills acquired in Tactical Rifle 1 with our Tactical Rifle 2 class. This course is designed to elevate your rifle proficiency by incorporating advanced techniques for low-light scenarios. You’ll expand on speed reloads, barrier shooting, and movement, integrating critical skills for effective shooting in reduced visibility conditions and utilizing a flashlight.
Course Objectives:
Advanced Speed Reloads: Refine your ability to perform rapid magazine changes with your rifle under varying conditions, including low-light environments.
Enhanced Barrier Shooting: Develop advanced techniques for shooting around and through different types of barriers, with a focus on minimizing exposure.
Advanced Movement Techniques: Improve your ability to move tactically while maintaining target acquisition and engagement.
Low-Light Operations: Master the use of weapon-mounted and handheld lights in conjunction with your rifle for effective low-light shooting.
Stress Inoculation: Engage in drills designed to simulate high-stress scenarios, improving your performance under pressure.
Course Structure:
Safety Brief and Equipment Check: Review safety protocols and ensure all equipment, including lighting systems, meets course requirements.
Skills Review and Enhancement: Briefly revisit and refine skills from Tactical Rifle 1 before advancing to more complex techniques.
Advanced Speed Reload Drills: Practice complex reload drills that simulate real-world stressors and time constraints.
Enhanced Barrier Shooting Exercises: Engage in advanced barrier drills, incorporating movement and multiple targets.
Low-Light Training: Extensive practice in reduced light conditions, focusing on target identification, engagement, and tactical movement.
Scenario-Based Exercises: Apply all learned skills in realistic, low-light tactical scenarios.
Prerequisites:
Completion of Tactical Rifle 1 or equivalent experience
What to Bring:
- A reliable tactical rifle (semi-automatic or bolt-action)
- A secure and suitable sling or carrying system
- Minimum three magazines, magazine pouch or carrier, & specified amount of ammunition
- Eye and ear protection
- High-quality flashlight with a mount or handheld option
- Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.
